Cargo Holds Cleaning
Petromobil Ltda. is proud to inform that it is now in condition to offer another tailor made and specialized cleaning service for vessels lying off Montevideo / Recalada area as well as all Uruguayan Ports.
Over the past few years we have noticed an increasing demand related to the vessel’s holds cleaning during their waiting time off Montevideo (Recalada area) which is the customary waiting area for vessels loading in Montevideo, Nueva Palmira and Upriver ports.
Therefore Petromobil Ltda. has mounted a team dedicated to the holds cleaning with brand new cleaning equipment manufactured by Mssrs. Marine Care BV and related chemicals, including hydro-blasters, pumps, hoses along with elevating platforms/cherry pickers to grant a better accessibility into cargo holds.
The scope of service offered is:
• All required permits and authorizations to perform cleaning.
• Removal of all types of residue for the ship cargo holds, top tanks, bulkheads, ballast tanks, fuel, diesel, and oil tanks.
• Environmentally safe chemicals to ensure conformity to clean water requirements.

By cleaning fuel tanks every two or three years it is possible to achieve a better performance of the equipment.
We have a thickness ultrasound measurer which allows us to assess the tank's exact thickness and conditions. We can also monitor the tank in case its internal part is not accessible.
Once the job is finished, there are photographic records to make completely sure our clients know what kind of job has been done.

La gestión de aceites usados debe planificarse con las mayores precauciones, teniendo en cuenta que los mismos poseen valor como para ser recuperados, pero también pueden causar daños en las personas y al medio ambiente si son manejados en forma inadecuada.
Descripción del proceso:
El aceite usado, será retirado desde los lugares generadores y transportado en vehículos propios para ser acopiados temporalmente para luego darle su destino final seguro.
El transporte utilizado estará acondicionado para que cumpla con las exigencias que reglamenta el Transporte de Products Contaminantes derivados del petróleo.
La empresa cuenta con un plan de contingencia, con todos los procedimientos que deberán aplicarse de acuerdo a la gravedad de la contingencia, y las medidas a aplicar de acuerdo al recurso natural afectado.
